BRIAN was gob-smacked when Davina announced he was the winner
with 69% of votes, but had to remain in the house a while
longer whilst Helen took her spot in the limelight.
After Helen left the house, Brian was called into the Diary
Room, where he repeatedly said he was in a state of shock.
"I don't believe any of this just yet," he stuttered
as he began to cry. "Four million people like me!"
Alone in the house, he tried to stare through the mirrors
one final time to catch a glimpse of a cameraman lurking behind.
"Show me your face," he pleaded.
Finally, after pacing ceaselessly around the lounge like
a caged animal, Davina called him out of the house and he
fell into the arms of his friends and family, sobbing.
"I never expected to get this far," he beamed when
they reached the stage, and despite Davina's best attempts
to interview him, he was constantly distracted by the audience.
Eventually, Brian expressed how happy he was to see his family,
especially his mother who had conquered her fear of flying
to be there.
Asked what his high-point was, Brian revealed that it was
simply entering the house. "Just being me and people
accepting me for who I was, even though I'm spoilt and selfish."
Naturally, his lowest point was missing his family and friends.
"I did this for myself," he said, "so I'm shocked
and chuffed that they're here to support me.
But he had one final task to perform. Bubble came on stage
to reunite the winner with his beloved soft toy Mr Cow, which
along with Mr Bear he had given to Big Brother in exchange
for a party.
To get Mr Bear back, he had to waltz with Bubble, and the
two friends stumbled around the stage.
Finally, Davina reminded Brian that he was the winner of
£70,000 - and with that Big Brother 2001 was over.
But don't go back to your lives just yet! Big Brother Online
