Day 31 - Bubbles beats world record, Garden games                                                   <<

The day began at 9.30am with Elizabeth and Josh first up and exercising in the garden. An hour later, Elizabeth, Josh, Bubble and Brian gathered in the house to complete the weekly shopping list; they had just £56.70 to spend having failed the dance task. The procedure was much more sedate than in previous weeks, where everyone got involved and no one could decide what to buy.

A little later, Elizabeth made omelettes for breakfast and after Paul apologised for assuming the next one was his, she declared how everybody’s ‘politeness’ was annoying her. This was a view she shared by ex-housemate Narinder, who told Big Brother that people were ‘acting false’ before she was evicted.

The group spent the day practising for their task and Bubble managed to beat the current World Record of 169 sweet corn kernels being eaten in three minutes. The cockney managed over 170 but it would not count towards the record, as an adjudicator was not present. The adjudicator would oversee all the record-breaking attempts on Wednesday, a few days later.

At around 3.30pm, Dean and Elizabeth were in the garden having a serious discussion about politics whilst some of the other housemates discussed… willies! Basically, Helen decided to announce that she’d seen Brian’s manhood and went on to describe how shrivelled it was, which I bet Brian was really pleased about! Helen then came out with one of her misinformed classics, which was, “I’ve heard that when all willy’s are erect, they are the same size.” The guys humoured her and Paul made the point that you shouldn’t judge a man by the size of his flaccid penis.

At 5.20pm, on what turned out to have been the hottest day of the year, the group played ‘apple bobbing’ games in the garden. It looked like a lot of fun, especially when Paul nearly got completely inside one of the huge buckets of water containing the apples.

A few hours later, Big Brother called Brian to the diary room to find out how everyone was feeling. He said that he was personally feeling a little weird since soul mate Naz left the house. He was missing the medical rep and declared how he admired the way she spoke her mind. Oh, she certainly did that alright! The Irishman had started to read books since her eviction and was now getting on well with Josh and Dean, but not with Paul, whose stories annoyed him.

As Amma prepared a roast chicken meal, she talked to Elizabeth about how things were more relaxed in the house now that Narinder had gone. The table dancer stated that she wished she could just be honest and tell people why she nominated them. Elizabeth sympathised. Out in the garden, Bubble and Dean discussed who they thought would be going that week.

Later, after making a fruit flan, Josh declared how he was bored and ‘feeling shit.’ He said, “It’s rubbish [in here]” and added that, “You can’t be yourself.” For the second time that day, someone acknowledged Narinder’s honesty and Josh said that if he was to say what he thought of two people in the house, he’s tell them to fu*koff! But which two did he mean; perhaps the following day’s nominations would tell?
