Day 24 - Dean gets a bird!, Naz and Brian's secret code,
Bubble's throws a tantrum <<
On the day before the third nominations, Dean was up first. He
noticed a small bird flying around the house, carefully captured
it in a towel and freed it. Shortly after, Helen’s task song
was played into the house and she jumped out of bed to get to the
stage within 20 seconds. Accompanied by Elizabeth in her lovely
jumper and knickers, they both strutted their funky ‘Disco’
stuff looking half-asleep; it was not a pretty sight!
Later, Amma made cookies and Dean and Brian had a conversation
about what they wanted to have achieved when they left the house.
Dean suggested that his goal was to prove to himself that he could
live with 9 strangers and get on with everyone. “It’s
no mean feat,” he added.
At 2pm, after a mammoth 12-hour sleep-in, Bubble surfaced from
the bedroom. As he prepared to take a shower, he stole the opportunity
to do a moony at the group. Nice, just what you want to see while
your preparing pizza!
An hour later, Elizabeth was called to the diary room to find out
how everyone was. She told Big Brother that some housemates were
bored, although she wasn’t personally. She detailed how Naz
would sometimes make comments but not be able to take a retort;
this would come up in the nominations the following day.
Approaching 4pm, Bubble washed-up assisted by Narinder and Brian.
The latter pair were talking about particular housemates in a code,
made up of unique facial expressions. They then proceeded to let
the cockney into their code and also into the laugh they were having
at the expense of the other housemates.
At 3.45, Narinder came to the diary room to talk to Big Brother.
She said that she’d been feeling weepy and detailed how some
people were getting on her nerves. About Amma, she said, “She
has to disagree,” and accused her of being nasty, picky and
argumentative. Narinder concluded by saying, ‘if she’s
going to be like that, keep out of my way.’ Oooooohhhh!
Later, the ‘Waltz’ task song was played and Bubble got
to the stage really quickly. Then out came Brian, prompting a look
of almost shock on the face of Bubble who shouted, “NOooooooo!!”
Bubble was ordered by the Irishman to hold him romantically, to
which he was very reluctant, but laughed at the prospect. They set
off on a kind-of exaggerated waltz, ending up with Brian pirouetting
around the stage. It was a very funny moment and made the others
laugh.
At 10.30pm, Bubble had stuck some letters above his bed to represent
his daughter’s birth date. He went to diary room to check if
that was okay and was told that Big Brother would get back to him.
However, when Big Brother did get back to him, it was bad news.
It was deemed an attempted message to the outside world and so he
was ordered to take it down. “That’s harsh,” said
Bubble as he almost stormed out of the diary room. He went straight
into the bedroom and pulled the lettering down in a strop.
Shortly after 1.30am, Paul was just going to bed when his task
song, Country and Western, was played into the house; Big Brother
could play a song any time between 8am and 2am. He rushed to the
garden and was joined on the stage by Helen.
Half an hour later, the boys were all in bed when Bubble started
acting like a baby and asked Brian for the number ‘23’
above his bed back; Bubble had cut the numbers out of a T-shirt
and given them to Brian on his 23rd Birthday. Bubble’s argument
was that if he wasn’t allowed letters or numbers above his
bed, why should Brian be allowed. However Brian challenged him and
said, “Just get over it…your acting like a spoilt child.”
He then told the cockney to take them if that’s what he really
wanted but in the end, Bubble relented.
