Day 19 - 2nd Nominations revealed to the group, Stuart gets
pissy <<
In the morning, most of the group watched and mocked Brian as he
mucked-out the chickens. They were in hysterics at his overacting.
Shortly after midday, everyone practised for the group's latest
task out in the garden; they had to memorise some personal facts
about each others lives. Helen expressed doubt in her own ability.
Again.
When Dean was called to the diary room to hand-in the blackboard
detailing his answers, he was pulled-up by Big Brother for having
written a message, sending love to his wife. The all-seeing power
made Dean rub the love heart off the board and warned him that communication
with the outside world was forbidden.
At 1.30pm, Amma and Elizabeth cooked lunch and Narinder brought
up the fact that Josh seemed to be quite frivolous with the food
rations. The girls, who'd struggled-by with much less shopping the
previous week, agreed that it would have to stop.
Just after 3pm, the group gathered around the sofas to hear the
result of the second nominations. When it was announced that Paul
and Stuart faced the chop, Paul took it well but Stuart was gutted.
Although he said, "I'm cool," he definitely wasn't happy.
Elizabeth, who had nominated both Paul and Stuart, tried to console
them and wished them luck. Stuart gave one his trademark winks to
Helen, which was presumably to cover up his growing instability.
At 5.25pm, everyone was out in the garden brushing up on the memory
task when Stuart half-jokingly had a go at Brian and said, "F**k
being nice to you lot." He then followed it up with some rather
crude comments but while everyone laughed, there was definitely
a more serious meaning behind his mock attack. He wasn't handling
the situation well.
After some circuit training with Narinder and Helen, taught by
Josh, Elizabeth went to the diary room to talk to Big Brother. She
expressed her guilt at having nominated the boys and said that Stuart
had started acting odd and aggressive since Josh's arrival, so she
felt he had to go. The web site programmer described a divide in
the group and stated that she fell somewhere in between.
In the evening, Bubble had an idea for the housemates to each donate
a personal item to be auctioned for charity when the series ends.
Josh said that he'd give his ridiculously expensive designer strides
and the boys tried to get Brian to part with his teddies, Mr Cow
and Mr Bear. Despite some arm-twisting from Josh, the Irishman was
having none of it however.
After a spaghetti bolognese meal prepared by Bubble, Paul was called
to the diary room to discuss how he was feeling about facing eviction.
He stated that he considered himself a bit of a leader but acknowledged
that there were quite a few leaders in the house. He wasn't too
disappointed.
Stuart was called-in 5 minutes later and was taking it much more
seriously, having taken his rejection to heart. He said he had a
fair indication of who'd nominated him and tried to justify how
he'd acted over the past 2 weeks in the house. When asked by Big
Brother how he would feel if he was to stay in the house, there
was a very long silence while Stuart gathered his thoughts. It seemed
as though Stu's eyes were welling-up and his voice wavered when
he eventually responded. The giant had been emotionally felled.
He intimated that he wouldn't mind if he was to stay or go; there
were benefits either way.
Just after midnight, the group sang a rather lame Happy Birthday
to Brian, who would be 23 that day. Dean gave Brian a necklace and
Bubble presented him with a T-shirt which was supposed to have the
number 23 cut out of the back. Instead, it just had two gaping holes
and the group roared with laughter when the birthday boy tried it
on!
As Brian and Naz prepared for bed, they discussed Stuart's reaction.
Narinder, ever one to speak her mind, said, "I'm putting bets
that he goes." "So am I, " came Brian's frank response.
Brian concluded that even if Stu stayed, his offensive comments
earlier that day would not be forgotten.
