BB Fans Spared The Horror Of 'Jedward'

Here at Big Brother Online, we reckon that Simon Cowell should be knighted...

NOT for his services to the entertainment industry, but for preventing annoying X-Factor twins John and Edward Grimes from appearing on Celebrity Big Brother 7!

For it transpires that the bog-brush-haired 18-year-olds were being lined-up to take part in the show, until Cowell overruled manager Louis Walsh and stopped it according to the Daily Mirror.

The effervescent pair, who aren't particularly good at singing or dancing, were nevertheless entertaining while on the X-Factor and they lasted many weeks. However, during more recent TV appearances they have just come across as immature and nauseating teenage boys (they are technically grown men, remember).

Therefore, it's probably a good job that the Irish duo didn't make it on to CBB7, because if they had, we have a feeling that Vinnie might have broken Rule 6 within a matter of days of them walking-in.

Actually, even though Vin has mentioned it recently, we can't remember specifically what Rule 6 is, but we're willing to bet that breaking it would've well-and-truly shut the Grimes twins up!
