Sov Claims That Bullying Brought Her Down
Former Celebrity Big Brother housemate Lady Sovereign has
claimed that she was 'bullied into behaving badly' today.
The London-born rapper, who became the 3rd Evictee of the
series last night, said of her experience: "I was bullied
into making myself look absolutely horrible, and that wasn't
the case".
Furthermore, the stroppy Londoner pinned the blame mostly
on Dane and Stephanie, but did not give Vinnie a mention.
Some of her supporters – who appear to inherently dislike
the ex-footballer – suggested on discussion forums that
Vinnie had been bullying Sov, despite the fact that he didn't
nominate the 24-year-old once, and actually helped her out
during her time in the House.
However, Sov's peers pretty-much all turned against her in
the end due to her petulant, selfish and trouble-making behaviour.
On the face of it, it looks like Sov has just latched-on
to her supporters' desperate attempts to discredit others
in a bid to excuse her bad behaviour, but we don't really
want to go there, as we gave our opinion here
before Sov was evicted.
About that, a few fans (the pro-Sov bunch) challenged what
we'd written, even though we try to represent general public
opinion and feeling. Indeed, the majority of viewers evidently
didn't find Sov's behaviour acceptable or agree that she was
being bullied, as she received a substantial 69.5% in the
public vote.
A Channel 4 source said of the bullying accusations: "The
welfare of housemates is of paramount importance, and unacceptable
behaviour, including bullying, is not tolerated in the Big
Brother House. All housemates are monitored closely around
the clock by a dedicated team, and procedures are in place,
including access to Big Brother at any time, to ensure that
housemates feel supported”.
Lady Sovereign wants either Sisqo or Stephen Baldwin to win
the show, despite the fact that the latter nominated her during
her time in the game.
