Stephanie's Suicide Story

Stephanie Beacham revealed tonight that she once got so low, that she tried to end it all.

During a frank conversation about a time when her career was in the doldrums, the glamorous actress told Heidi: "I had the one time when I thought everybody would probably be better-off without me, including my children".

The 62-year-old explained that she deliberately drove towards a truck in her car, but the truck managed to swerve and miss her. Steph went-on to say that she went home and considered taking her own life using pills and a hot bath.

In response, former jailbird Heidi said that she'd never contemplated suicide herself, not even when she thought she might get sent down for 7 or 8 years (she was actually sentenced to 3 years).

However, Stephanie said quickly of her own experience: "I didn't even contemplate it; it's just what I did".
