Alex Wants Independence From Jordan

It's not exactly a revelation given that he pretty-much said as-much at the start of the series, but according to the Daily Star newspaper, Alex Reid agreed to appear on Celebrity Big Brother 7 in the hope that he would prove his independence and become 'his own man'.

The 34-year-old cage fighter, who received massive boos from the crowd when he entered the House, is only well-known because of his relationship with model Katie Price.

Price, otherwise known as 'Jordan', lives her entire life in the public eye, and took-up with Alex in 2009 after an acrimonious split with her partner of five years, Peter Andre.

It has been reported that Alex wasn't happy with the way Price dominated their relationship at first, and he has apparently instructed his management team to ignore her instructions as they make plans for his future career.

Price became something of a hate-figure due to her treatment of Peter Andre after they split-up, so if Alex really wants to move on and get a new career, he would do well to publicly distance himself from the mouthy model now.

That would be a touché to the fact that she snubbed him after he flew all the way to Australia to meet her during last year's 'I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here' show.

Former Hollyoaks cast member Alex has expressed an interest in returning to acting and gaining a 'Hollywood Hardman' career like Vinnie, although it has to be said that he's up-against it in terms of trying to win-over the CBB7 audience, mainly due to his connection with Jordan.
