1st Evictee: Katia Ivanova

Tonight, the first evictions of the series took place, and although the housemates themselves didn't know it, it was set to be a Double Eviction.

Fans had to choose between nominees Heidi Fleiss, Katia Ivavona and Lady Sovereign, and the first to go was Katia.

When Big Brother host Davina McCall spoke to the house to announce the result, she gave the usual pause after saying, "And the first person to be evicted is...", but the crowd were in full swing chanting: 'Kat, Kat, Kat'.

This was heard by the group, and prompted Heidi to point straight at the blonde model, just before Davina said her name and confirmed that she'd become the 1st Evictee, the least popular housemate with the viewers.

The 21-year-old just smiled and stood-up, then gave half-hearted hugs to her peers before running to the door and saying a simple: "Bye".

As the double doors opened, there were huge boos from the crowd which made Katia grimace. She looked gutted and apprehensive as she held Davina's hand and was escorted to the studio for her eviction interview.

Katia Ivanova received 44% in the three-way public vote.
