What's Going On With The Voting?

You may well have been asking yourself that question, but to be honest, we don't think anyone knows fully what's going on!

First, news of this week's nominees was withheld on Wednesday afternoon/ evening after the second nominations had taken place. The news was withheld again today (Thursday), and would normally be released during Dermot's 7.30pm BBLB show.

But the nominees and voting telephone numbers weren't even announced at the end of tonight's C4 highlights show, which ended at 10pm.

It was only when Russell Brand announced them at the end of his later e4 BBBM show that they became available, so what's going on?

Well, last we heard, the housemates had not been told who the nominees are, and Channel 4 were intending to address that issue at some point on Friday, the same day as the eviction.

Fans will doubtless wonder if this was a bid to try and help Jade out i.e. so that she somehow receives less votes. However, it was probably more a case of Channel 4 not wanting to be seen profiteering from something surrounded by race issues.

That's a bit tenuous, but if they hadn't released the numbers until an hour before the eviction, for instance, there would inevitably have been less votes registered and therefore less revenue for them.
