2nd Evictee: It's Faria!

Having been voting for one/ two days instead of the usual three/ four, the public have now chosen the next person to leave the Big Brother house. For tonight, Faria Alam became the second evictee.

Frankly, this came as a bit of a shock, as everyone – fans, bookies and the Press – thought that Pete was a dead cert to go.

Indeed, according to various Polls, Pete was a clear 10% ahead of Faria to get the 'boot, but we'll explore what might have happened in a forthcoming article.

For now, let's just say that Faria's comments about race were probably her undoing, and earned her just over 45% in the public vote that evicted her.

Faria came into the house expecting either to become much more famous, or to remain at the level she's at. The thing is, her 'fame' is rather tenuous as it is, seeing that all she's done is slept with some (rather well-known and high-profile) bloke.

Had the former PA set the house alight with her magnetic personality, frivolous behaviour and engaging chat, she may well have achieved what she'd set out to do. Ultimately, however, the 39-year-old came across as a bit boring.

In fairness though, this reminds us of the people we meet in real life who think they'd be fantastic on Big Brother – mainly because they amuse their friends – but who would be no more interesting to watch than the average person when push came to shove.

So, Faria the Celebrity Big Brother contestant is no more, leaving fellow nominees Dennis Rodman and Pete Burns in the house to fight another day.
