Maysoon Has Quit

Maysoon Shaladi, who arrived a month after the series began along with Sara and 5th Evictee Belinda, has quit the game.

On Tuesday night, Maysoon visited the Diary Room and told Big Brother that she wants to leave, because she wasn't enjoying it any more and was missing home. The Muslim model returned at around midday today to re-iterate her feelings, but it looked like she was set to stay.

However, this evening, just after 9pm, the boring 28-year-old formally asked to leave, having discussed it with her peers. Of course, they tried to talk her out of quitting but Maysoon had made her mind up. So, she said her goodbyes and headed for home, having spent 27 days in the game.

Frankly, Maysoon has just saved Davina the trouble of having to think of interesting things to talk about during an eviction interview, as we've hardly mentioned her over the past month and fans know little about the wannabe Bollywood star.

That said, we feel a bit guilty for having banged-on about how dull she is, but then people shouldn't audition for Big Brother if they're going to dupe the show's viewers. Indeed, a contributing factor to her quitting was the hassle that Rex gave Maysoon over her misleading audition video that he saw at the weekend.

However, for some reason the obnoxious chef reckoned that Rachel had exaggerated her character to get on show and is actually boring, but Maysoon is more flirty in real life and had toned things down so-as not to embarrass her family. Whatever, she added literally nothing to the show, so she won't be missed.

Just before she left, Kat told May that she really likes her and Rachel said that the group didn't want her to go, before asking if she would regret her decision. May was adamant that she won't.

In the Diary Room prior to leaving, Maysoon said of her decision to leave: "I've had a good month and a really good day today, but it's in my head to go". Maysoon is the first person to wuss-out and quit this series, but the third person to leave via the back door, after Alexandra and Dennis were sent home for unacceptable behaviour.

Maysoon was one of the nine contestants facing eviction this week, however Friday's 7th Eviction will still go ahead without her, and the voting continues.
