Lisa And Sara Win £25k Each
Shortly after being put up for eviction tonight nominees
Lisa and Sara were summoned to the task room, and the pair
excitedly ran across the garden holding hands on the way.
Once inside, the girls were told that they would be playing
the 'prisoner's dilemma' game, which was basically the end
bit from ITV's 'Goldenballs', just with all the terms changed.
Instead of 'split' and 'steal' balls, the pair of nominees
had to choose between 'SHARE' and 'TAKE' blocks of wood. As
in the TV show, they couldn't see what the other person was
going to choose, and if both girls chose 'share', they would
split the £50k up for grabs and each leave the task
room £25k richer.
However, if one went for share and the other chose to take,
the taker would nab the whole lot, tucking-up their peer in
the process. But if they both chose to take, neither
would get a penny. Big Bro re-iterated what would happen in
that latter scenario, which is all too common in Goldenballs
due to the greed of the contestants.
Out in the lounge, their six peers were glued to the plasma
screen as Rex said, "Come on girls, you can do this:
share it".
Lisa and Sara were given an opportunity to discuss what they
were going to do, and invited to lie about what they might
do. However, it was a no-brainer as both girls – effectively
mates who are in the same boat – knew without hesitation
that they both wanted to share. Fantastic!
And indeed, that's precisely what they did, showing each
other the 'SHARE' block when the time came. So, Big Brother
informed the lucky pair that they would receive £25,000
each, and an overjoyed Lisa picked Sara up to celebrate and
then piggy-backed her around the room! "Here we are:
genuine, nice people," declared Lisa.
Out in the garden, having exited the task room, Sara said
to Lisa, "Did we just win money?" prompting her
older peer to reply, "I think so". Indeed they did,
which Mohamed was gutted about, later telling Big Bro that
he would rather have given-up his HoH title and had a chance
of winning the cash.
