Housemates Nominate Face-to-face Tonight
We revealed yesterday afternoon that the special live task
would see the housemates nominating tonight (Wednesday the
27th of August) for the last time. However, what we didn't
say in the previous
article was that they'll have to nominate in front of
each other. Oooh!
This should put the cat among the pigeons, however fans have
already expressed concern that doing things this way opens
it up to the latter nominators being influenced by the choices
of the earlier ones. Also, certain housemates could offer
to sacrifice themselves, making it easier for their peers.
A better way would have been if everyone had to write down
their nominations, 'Weakest Link' style. That way, the housemates
would still have been put under pressure, however, even that
couldn't ensure that they would nominate who they would have
done in a normal Diary Room procedure.
In other words, the housemates will be aware tonight that
the people they nominate – who may not even go up, or
could survive this week – will know their nominations
immediately, whereas up-until this point no-one (within the
group) knows who they've nominated.
Mohamed, as the last Head of House, cannot be nominated tonight,
so he is bound to be gutted when he realises that he missed-out
on a possible £50k bonus, all for the sake of holding
a somewhat pointless title. It's even more of a kick in the
teeth because frankly, the toy demonstrator stands no chance
of winning the £100,000 overall prize.
We say that because he is fully expected to be sent home
at the double eviction next Tuesday night. After all, Mo's
HoH status only guaranteed his stay until the final week of
the game, it did not guarantee a place in the Finale. Hey
ho, Mo!
To re-iterate: no-one will be evicted tonight as the next
eviction takes place on Friday night as normal. Also, whoever
wins the £50k during tonight's live task could feasibly
survive this week and go on to scoop the £100k overall
prize by winning the series next week.
It's hard to know what will happen tonight, but fans are
expecting Lisa and Sara to be put 'up' this week and therefore
to compete in the live task. Don't forget to tune-in and watch
both show's on Channel 4 to see what happens.
You never know, the eight contestants might rebel, refuse
to nominate and consequently all go up?
