Nicole Cammack Evicted With Record Percentage
Tonight, having spent three weeks in the game and with just
two weeks to go until the series Finale, BB9 latecomer Nicole
Cammack (aka 'Rex's girlfriend') has been evicted by the biggest
margin ever in Big Brother history.
For the 19-year-old student received an incredible 94.04%
in the public vote, an amazing feat given that it was a three-way
vote. Obviously, this means that the other two nominees received
less than 6% between them. Cripes!
On our own Home page '10th Eviction' Poll, which ran for
four days and collected over 4500 votes, Nicole received 83%,
while Lisa was on 11% and Sara 6%. However, evidently some
detractors of the latter pair felt that registering a telephone
vote would be futile, so they just didn't bother, consequently
making Nicole's percentage appear even higher.
Nicole's 94.04% (we don't normally bother quoting anything
after the decimal point, but this is a special occasion)
means that she is officially the most hated housemate ever,
beating Big Brother 7's cocky stockbroker Sezer Yurtseven,
who has held the record of 91.6% since 2006.
Sezer's percentage was also gained in a three-way vote, but
he was a proper hate figure; a vain, obnoxious, arrogant and
aggressive git. Sure, Nicole was despised by a heck of a lot
of fans and for good reason (see here
and here),
but we wouldn't have called the teenager a 'massive hate figure'
prior to this result.
Characters like disqualified former Big Brother 9 housemate
Alexandra De-Gale and 2nd Evictee Sylvia Barrie fitted the
bill more, yet the latter only received 90% in the public
vote and that was up-against one other nominee, not two.
We're not making excuses for her, but Nicole was unfortunate
in-that she went 'up' against two people that the public don't
have any beef with really. Had she faced boyfriend Rex, it
would have been a completely different matter.
Still, the public have metaphorically spoken, and they've
effectively said: 'Get lost Nicole. Goodbye and good riddance!'
