Group Gives 'Thrilling' Performance To Pass Task
For the past 24 hours the housemates have been practising
their dance moves, ready to re-enact the famous and groundbreaking
Michael Jackson 'Thriller' video.
So, at around 4 o'clock today, the eight 'zombified' dancers
entered the Task room to perform, as choreographer Rex went
to the lounge to watch their efforts on the plasma screen.
With all the dancers in position and waiting for the music
to start, smoke emerged from behind the coffins and the room
lighting changed, as Darnell wished his peers Good Luck. "You
too," replied Mo. "Break a leg," added Rachel.
And they were soon grinding, clapping and shuffling along
to the sound of the best-selling song, with an in-character
Lisa pulling lots of weird faces throughout, and a made-up
Darnell resembling a bona-fide zombie!
Mikey struggled to keep-up with the others, and Nicole –
playing the part of Jacko – seemed to be constantly
ahead of everyone else, but it didn't matter because their
performance was fantastic.
"Yeeeah. Nailed it!" shouted Rex as he ran outside
at the end, before taking a photo of the performers for prosperity
just before they exited the Task room. The Head of House then
told his peers that the routine looked amazing on the TV screen.
And Big Brother obviously agreed, as the all-seeing entity
subsequently gathered the group together to tell them that
they'd achieved the required standard and had therefore passed
the task. Yay!
The housemates celebrated by jumping around, whooping and
screaming, as Rex gave Nicole, who claimed yesterday that
she would be the only one to give a perfect performance, a
congratulatory kiss.
Rachel later reckoned that it was 'the best task ever in
Big Brother history', while Sara said: "This has been
a really fun week. This has been my best task".
As a reward, Big Bro provided the group with a luxury shopping
budget of £5 per person, per day.
