Are Luke & Bex Getting Married This Week?

A little bird tells us that one of the tabloid newspapers is set to report on a 'very exciting' development in the Luke-Bex relationship this week. Oh, for goodness sake!

So, what's going on? Is camp-as-Christmas Luke Marsden about to admit that he's actually gay? Will Nadia-lookalike Rebecca Shiner declare that she's really a man? Or, even more ridiculously, are the totally mismatched pair set to get married?

We're being serious here, because according to paparazzi boss, sometime agent and general loud-mouth Darryn Lyons, the 6th and 7th Evictees have just jetted-off to America.

Indeed, fans saw the couple collecting their passports over the weekend and Luke talked about getting married in Vegas when he came out-of the Big Brother House, no doubt pushed into saying it by hungry-for-exclusives reporters.

The pair of 21-year-olds appeared in the Daily Star several times last week, which made us literally laugh out loud due to the OTT 'Carry On' style looks on Luke's face in the accompanying pictures. Therefore, we took all the marriage talk with a pinch of salt, but bizarrely, it looks like it could be true.

That said, although hastily getting married would seem to be going a step too far, Luke and Bex wouldn't be the first BB UK couple to get together just to make money from the magazines and newspapers.

Here's a little reminder of previous Big Brother couples, the most successful being BB2's Paul and Helen, who at least lived together for five years before calling it a day:

However, there have been other 'relationships' that have failed to catch-on probably because the press weren't interested, like BB7's Imogen Thomas and Sezer Yurtseven, and BB8's Shabnam Paryani and Billi Bhatti.

Two years on from BB7, Grace and Mikey are still together (currently the only BB couple to have lasted), but several BB couples have made it to the 3-year mark and then split-up, so there's still time for it to go pear-shaped!

Anyway, getting back to Luke and Bex, we don't know if they'll go through with the rumoured marriage, but if they do it will surely be a total farce given that during her interview with Davina, Bex was adamant that she didn't fancy the Wigan weed.
