Fans Would Like To Bring Steph Back
We don't want to mislead you here because it's not as-of
fans have actually called for Steph's return like they did
when she was controversially sent home at the 1st Eviction
(after Polls indicated that Mario would go - see here).
Rather, we ran a Poll last week (Week 9) asking: 'Which Big
Brother 9 evictee would you bring back if you could? Here's
how the voting went, from the lowest number of votes to the
highest, the latter being the person fans would recall for
the last month of the game if given the chance, despite previously
voting them out:
Belinda, 3% (5th Evictee)
Sylvia, 3% (2nd Evictee)
Jennifer, 4% (3rd Evictee)
Mario, 12% (4th Evictee)
Luke, 16% (7th Evictee)
Rebecca, 19% (6th Evictee)
Stephanie, 43% (1st Evictee)
So, you can see that pretend-BB bride Steph was by far in
the lead, and it has to said that 43% of the vote against
six other candidates is pretty high.
The result re-iterates the fact that fans – who were
peeved at her lacklustre effort in the Wedding task –
now acknowledge that they didn't really give Steph a chance,
seeing as they sent her packing after just 9 days in the game.
However, the feisty blonde was the only person to have properly
stood-up to national hate figure Alexandra at the time (Rachel
tried, but was in tears within seconds), so could have been
a great BB9 character.
Indeed, the Scouse' student would certainly pep things up
if she was brought back now, and producers would be safe in
the knowledge that the majority of fans would welcome the
19-year-old's return.
Frankly, Steph has already made a shed-load of money from
magazine and newspaper deals and doesn't need to return. Plus,
the show's producers have said that no-one will be returning
this series.
However, the show's producers, like the viewers, can change
their mind as a series progresses, so why not give fans what
they want and bring her back?
