Can Mario Break The 1st Eviction Trend?
Big Brother has been around for nine seasons now in the UK,
and for the past eight years the first person to leave the
House has always been a woman. We wonder if Mario could be
the one to break that trend?
Here's a quick recap of all the 1st Evictees... not that
we expect you to remember most of them, such is the nature
of being the first person to go:
In the original series from 2000, hippy-chick Sada Walkington
got kicked-out of the House first; the following year it was
nutty teacher Penny Smith.
During Big Brother 3, wannabe barrister Sunita Sharma quit
the game just one-week in, but the first person to actually
be evicted was feisty Scot Lynne Moncrieff.
In 2003, during 'the series we don't talk about' (BB4 - it
was dull), Anouska Golebiewski got the boot after one week
but the public later regretted it.
The following year – when the infamous Fight Night
occurred – would-be rebel Kitten Pinder was disqualified
after just one week. Emma Greenwood then got put into the
bedsit next door along with Michelle Bass, later returned
to the House, but went back to the bedsit after the fight
and was then sent home. The 1st Evictee proper was also female,
South African Vanessa Nimmo.
Big Brother 6's 1st Evictee was mystical punk Mary O'Leary,
and for BB7 the first to go was Bonnie Holt, who got evicted
the day after Dawn Blake was removed from the game for cheating.
And that brings us to Big Brother 8 last year, which saw
nutty receptionist Shabnam Paryani lose in the first public
vote when up-against Carole and Tracey. That said, the first
person to actually leave the House was quitter Lesley Brain,
who was soon followed by Emily Parr, someone who got removed
from the game for uttering racist language.
So, you can see from the above that the 1st Evictee has always
been female; in fact, the first person to leave for whatever
reason has always been female.
It's easy to think that Steph will go tonight and continue
the trend, however if Mario gets the old 'heave ho' like the
bookies think he will, at least he'll be remembered for something!
