Is Brian As Thick As He Appears?

Brainbox Brian has said some really numpty things since entering the Big Brother House, but is he really as thick as he appears to be? BBLB's Dermot O'Leary has been on the case...

Brian's recent comments include calling the garden mangle a 'Joe Mangel', like he genuinely thinks it shares its name with the fictional Neighbours character!

He also suggested that women do dainty, rabbit-like No.2's, and unbelievably, claimed that he has no idea who Shakespeare is.

But Dermot's guest on Thursday night's show – former Neighbours actress Stephanie 'Sky Mangel' McIntosh – said, "How can you not know who Shakespeare is?", and she's Australian.

Indeed, Dermot has done some digging on the matter and found that the 19-year-old data clerk told producers he had a GCSE in English on his BB application form. Whatsmore, Brian's old headmaster confirmed that he would have covered the world-famous English playwright in year 9.

Further to that, the British examinations board told Dermot that 'Shakespeare is unavoidable as part of the English GCSE syllabus'.

So, is the big man trying to be portray some kind of 'innocently-dim' Jade Goody type figure to enhance his game, or is he genuinely very stupid, a little forgetful and somewhat naïve?
