Please Vote In Our Polls Again Later This Week
You can now vote for the person you'd like to Win in the
actual public vote, but you can't vote in corresponding Poll
on the BBO website yet. Why...? Let us explain:
Lines are now open for you to vote for your favourite contestant
to win Big Brother 8, and you have one week to do-so. And
that's precisely why we're not asking who you want to Win
just yet.
Public opinion can change in the last week of the game and
there's no facility for you to change your mind in our Polls.
That's because you obviously can't retract your vote and you
can only vote once, otherwise fanatical supporters (aka the
real saddoes) might vote loads of times for their favourite
housemate, which is entirely pointless.
We say that because such people are probably not going to
vote 100 or 200 times in the actual public vote, due to the
cost. So, their enthusiasm could ruin the Poll, which is supposed
to be just for fun and give fans an idea of what might happen
at the Finale.
So, up-until Wednesday night, we're asking who your favourite
Final Week housemate is; frankly, it's the 'Who do you want
to Win?' Poll under another name.
However, on Thursday morning, the 30th of August, we'll reset
the top Poll and rename it 'Who do you want to win?'
To re-iterate: we're suggesting that you vote now in the
current Poll if you wish, but please make sure that you come
back to this site on Thursday or Friday and vote again in
the new Poll, which you'll find in the right-hand margin of
our Home page where our Polls always are.
That way, the restarted Poll will give fans more of an idea
of what's likely to happen at the Finale, as it will represent
the outcome fans want, a maximum of 48 hours away from the
Winner being crowned. In all likelihood though, it will be
the same as, or very similar to, the Favourite Poll.
We'll also change our middle Home page Poll on Thursday
morning, to ask who you'd like as the 2nd place runner-up,
not that there's any glory in that!
Thanks for participating in our Polls during this series
and remember, they're just for fun. If you wish to influence
the outcome of the game, you'll have to phone and register
a vote-or-two for your favourite of the six contenders.
You can find the voting telephone numbers in another article
from Week 13 of our Latest News section.
