Chanelle Will Not Be Returning
Earlier this week, the tabloid newspapers hinted that Chanelle
was set to return to the Big Brother House, after quitting
the show nearly two weeks ago. However, we can confirm that
she is definitely not returning.
Initially, we thought the papers had simply embellished a
rumour to make a story (nah, they wouldn't do that! - Ed).
However, amazingly, it seems that the Big Brother top bods
have been in discussions this week about bringing
the tantrum-prone former housemate back.
Apparently, producers were thinking of ways to re-introduce
Chanelle, perhaps as part of the Time Travel task where she
could have come face-to-face with Ziggy again.
After all, the 26-year-old music producer has been pining
for the student on-and-off since she upped and went. Indeed,
within the past few days Zig has declared that he misses Chanelle
on a daily basis.
However, that's as the case may be, but you have to remember
that she was a very unstable person whilst in the House and
often brought the mood down. So, would we want her back now
anyway, even for just an hour?
We appreciate that Chanelle was popular with fans, who liked
her even if Ziggy had had enough by the end, but frankly she's
had her time and also made her money.
For, even though she didn't go through the usual eviction
procedure, the 19-year-old blitzed Charley in the 'selling
her story' stakes, having netted herself a cool £150,000;
six times what Charley received from the tabloids
for her story.
However, even though housemates have returned before, just
as Nikki Grahame did last year, at least she was evicted first.
If Chanelle was to return, it could set a dangerous precedent
that might see future contestants quitting in the hope that
they can return later in the series.
Nope, here at BBO we've had enough of quitters this year
and so we've automatically had enough of Chanelle, whether
we liked her or not. Good riddance.
