Is Ziggy Feeling Guilty?
Earlier today, Gerry was moaning to Carole about the fact
that Ziggy nominated him this week; this evening, Ziggy had
a chat to the matriarch about the fact that he nominated the
gay researcher.
Ziggy was the only one of the more established housemates
(i.e. excluding Amy, Jonty and Kara) who nominated one of
their own at the most recent round, and the music man is perhaps
feeling guilty about nominating Gerry now?
We know that Gerry took it badly having considered Ziggy
his pal, but the latter tried to justify his decision to Carole
by saying that the art researcher had been rude to him during
the time travel task.
"I think he wouldn't have felt so badly (about your
nomination) had he not felt that he'd tried to support both
you and Chanelle," said Carole in response, having already
heard Gerry's side of things earlier in the day.
Ziggy acknowledged that Gerry had supported the couple, but
then said he'd been loyal to Gerry too. Indeed, before this
week, neither one had nominated the other, although as an
aside, the person that Ziggy was confiding-in (Carole) nominated
him at the previous round.
"I do understand we have a huge group in here and a
huge bond, but (Jonty and Kara) didn't affect me last week
and he affected me three times... I don't really wanna' dismiss
(that behaviour) constantly," said Ziggy about his Greek
peer.
But Ziggy seemed to be in two minds about his decision now,
saying, "I don't dislike Gerry, I kind of love him in
a way, which is why this is the hardest thing for me. But
I've been walking into rooms and if he's been in there, I've
been walking out".
"He talks about what we're doing here and the freak
show for hours-and-hours every day, and I can't deal with
it anymore. I can't deal with it. He's constantly analysing
me, it's really irritating."
So, Ziggy might be regretting his decision to nominate Gerry,
but the damage is already done. It just remains to be seen
whether the 31-year-old will retaliate next week.
