The Crowd Has Spoken!

The Launch night crowd were certainly quite vocal, and it got us wondering today if their initial reaction would be a barometer for how well the female housemates might do in the game?

Just to remind you, after Davina introduced the eleven girls to the House, she did a round-up of all the contestants. This provoked individual reactions from the crowd, and here's what reaction each girl got when Davina mentioned their name:

Amanda and Sam - no reaction, even though they were booed as they posed for the press. This was possibly because Davina was speaking quickly and the crowd were only just catching-on to the idea.
Lesley - No reaction
Charley - Booes
Tracey - Cheers
Chanelle - Booes
Shabnam - Bigger cheers than for Tracey
Emily - Mixed reaction
Laura - Really big cheers
Nicky - Mixed reaction
Carole - Absolutely huge cheers, followed by the chanting of her name!

So, we can deduce that the two most popular girls on Launch night were former sexual health worker Carole, and nanny Laura. The pair that the crowd took an instant dislike-to were 'Posh Spice' wannabe Chanelle and college dropout Charley.
