Lesley Gets Cranky

Despite having a reasonably late night on her first day in the House, Lesley was up bright-and-early on Day 2, but she wasn't impressed to find-out that Big Bro wouldn't be doing her laundry. Aww, shame!

The 60-year-old sat flicking through the book of House Rules alone, when she came across a bit about using the garden mangle.

However, it might as well have been written in Chinese or Swahili, for this is the person who confidently declared before coming-in, "I don't do anything domestic".

It seems that Lesley – who's been known to hob-nob with Royals – is more used to being waited-on hand-and-fist than actually doing things for herself.

Still, she muddled on through the manual, familiarising herself with the operating instructions for the 19th century mechanical device (erm, not exactly difficult).

"Stand behind the mangle so the handle and cogs are to your right," began the early-riser as she read the bumph aloud. "Feed the clothes through the rollers while turning the handle. Take care at all times not to trap your fingers."

So, it looks like the process is not only time-consuming and energy-sapping, but also dangerous to boot.
