Please DON'T Ask Us How To Apply!

Every year, throughout the duration of Big Brother, we always receive a steady flow of e-mails from people asking how they can apply, either for the current series or the next. So, let's just re-iterate the situation...

A group of housemates has already been chosen to participate in Big Brother 8, which takes place over a 3-month-period during May, June, July and August of 2007. Furthermore, the show's producers have a number of standby contestants waiting in the background, who are on standby (doh!) just in case anyone quits.

Therefore, you definitely won't get into the Big Brother House this time around, and our FAQs section (Frequently Asked Questions) makes it clear that there was plenty of opportunity for fans to apply/ audition earlier in the year.

However, we also want to make it absolutely clear – just to save repeating ourselves in lots of e-mail correspondence with fans – that you cannot apply for the next series yet either.

The auditions for Big Brother 9, which is set to take place in the summer of 2009 (that's next year for all those who aren't paying full attention!), will take place around Christmas time.
