I Will Be Your Father Figure
In the early stages of the game, Lea was the Mother figure
and Richard was deemed the Father figure (aka old git!) by
some of the group. And it's a roll that the 34-year-old has
continued to play to this day, having consoled a concerned
Imogen and Glyn today.
Now Richard and Imogen have never been friends, although
it did look at one point like they were starting to get on.
But the gay Canadian was happy to give the Welsh barmaid some
comforting words as she fretted about leaving the House this
evening.
"I'm scared, I don't want to go out there," said
the 23-year-old, thinking about the possibility of getting
the chop this coming week, but Rich just told her that she
hasn't done anything wrong. "I'm very honest, and I really
think you'll be okay."
Over Imogen's worries that Davina wouldn't like her, Dickie
said that she hadn't acted inappropriately, so had nothing
to worry about.
And in response to Imogen's concern over the public's reaction
to her, Rich said to the girl he once dubbed 'dull and plastic',
"You don't say things that are offensive, you haven't
assaulted or attacked anyone. You have given the public nothing
they could hold against you".
In other words, Rich, she's bl**dy boring!
Later in the evening it was Glyn's turn to mope around the
gaff, worrying about getting the boot and moaning, "I've
been feeling like crap all day". "You've been doing
brilliantly," Richard assured him, adding, "The
people who have been consistent are the ones that remain".
But after telling the 18-year-old that he was not only doing
well, but was a likely candidate to win the £100k and
would probably be there until the end, Rich almost undid all
his good work by saying, "I could be completely wrong,
so don't quote me on it".
Doh! Nice one Rich!
