"Today, Matthew, I'm Going To Look Like A Prat!"
Things went a bit surreal today when PULP's Jarvis Cocker
arrived in the House to give an impromptu performance... oh
no, our mistake, it was just Glyn doing his own little 'Stars
In Their Eyes' routine!
Having promised Jennie that he would sing something from
the first album he ever bought, the 18-year-old Welshman suddenly
said, "Tonight Matthew, I'm going to be Jarvis Cocker,"
before disappearing through the imaginary star-adorned door
(the glass doors).
And when he re-appeared through the imaginary cloud of smoke
(the glass doors again), Glyn went into a full Jarvis Cocker
routine while Jennie clapped and sang-along to his rendition
of 'Common People'.
Lots of finger-pointing and finger wagging ensued, as Glyn
danced on the spot like a total dork. Have you ever seen a
teenager doing 'Dad dancing' before? No, nor have we.
Of course, the real Jarvis is known for his geeky-slash-cool
fashion sense, but his teenage imitator just couldn't match
the pop star's image, prancing around with his growing-out
blonde hair and wearing a tie-dyed t-shirt and blue shorts.
With his customary tweed jackets, Jarvis Cocker undoubtedly
looks like a complete-and-utter geek, but even he's
got nothing on Glynny boy!
