Discounting Pete
We said on Friday that it was probably your last chance to
back Pete at the bookies because his odds would go to 1/10
shortly. However, there's still a way you can cash-in on BB7,
by betting on the 'Outright Winner without Pete' market.
This is another way of saying 'Who'll be the top person,
discounting Pete?' or 'Who's likely to come second if Pete
comes 1st?' Basically, you simply ignore Pete when you are
betting, because with this particular market what happens
to the Tourette's sufferer is irrelevant.
This is fantastic, as just when things were starting to look
predictable and the betting was becoming pointless (unless
you stake £££thousands), it opens things
up and makes a bet worthwhile again.
Here are today's odds (Tuesday the 1st of August):
Glyn - 4/7
Richard - 100/30
Aisleyne - 6/1
Mikey - 18/1
Imogen - 20/1
Any other - 16/1
So, a £30 bet on Richard at those odds (£100
back for every £30 staked) would make you, as the odds
indicate, a £100 profit plus your stake back. That surely
has to be a reasonably good bet, mainly because Glyn could
start to lose favour as Pete and Rich get closer?
A £25 bet on Aisleyne would make you £150; the
same amount on Mikey would make you £450, and on Imogen,
£500. And remember, they only need to come second (or
win) for you to claim this profit
However, Glyn is currently the second favourite to Win, so
if you think he's likely to come second to Pete, a bet on
him would be a shrewd move.
A £45 stake on the Welshman would return £70,
a £60 bet would return you just under £95, and
a £100 stake would return nearly £160. Of course,
you can stake as much as you like, and if you were to stake
a few hundred 'quid, then you'd stand to make a profit of
£180 if Glyn comes second.
So, if you'd like to cash-in and have a bit of fun by betting
on the outcome of Big Brother 7, why not click
here to visit the BlueSquare website and sign-up for an
account?
New customers will also get a Free £25 Bet
added to their account once they've placed their first bet
(valued at £25 or over) and it really is quick and easy
to sign-up and place a bet with BlueSquare.
Just remember to look for the 'Outright Winner without Pete'
market, which you can get-to from a flip down menu in the
TV Specials section.
Good luck!
