10th Nominees Announced
With six contestants left in the game, the final round of
nominations took place yesterday and the twist this time was
that Kinga was immune from eviction.
The newbie housemate arrived just a day before the nominations
took place and was told that if she received 4 or less votes,
she would be immune. Big Brother called it a Secret Mission,
however there was no need, as she received no votes at all
in the end.
Here's who everyone voted-for, with the number of votes they
received this week in brackets. We'll be detailing the Nominations
in full detail in another story soon, also accessible shortly
via the contestant profiles above.
Anthony (2) - Derek & Eugene
Craig (2) - Eugene & Derek
Derek (3) - Anthony & Craig
Eugene (3) - Makosi & Anthony
Kinga (0) - Makosi & Craig
Makosi (2) - Derek & Eugene
So, this week's Nominees, with 3 votes-a-piece, are: Derek
and Eugene.
Hmm... so the two good pals are up for eviction, arguably
because Eugene chose not to go for the obvious candidates
in Anthony and Craig, which would have put the latter up aswell.
In a way, this is a good thing because it makes the game less
predictable. Talking of which, Makosi's nominations were almost
a given, arguably as a result of Craig's recent efforts to
influence her.
And that's not just our bias; we've received tons of correspondence
from fans saying that Craig should be penalised for blatantly
swaying opinion.
We thought that Makosi had a mind of her own, but then again,
who else was she going to nominate - Kinga?
Anyway, as-for which one of the two nominees is likely to
go this week, we'd say Derek. That's going by our recent Poll,
which asked: 'Who do you most want to see evicted next?'
In that Poll, which included all six remaining housemates,
Derek polled 23% (Craig was on 39%, Makosi on 26%), but Eugene
got just 6%. Therefore, it very much looks like fans would
prefer to get rid of Del Boy.
That said, when it comes down to actually choosing between
two candidates, we've seen the situation reverse
in past evictions. Also, the public vote could be quite close
and Eugene may well overtake Derek by the end of the week.
It's a genuinely hard choice, but because we're not sure that
Eugene could really win Big Brother 6, we'd probably prefer
to keep Del. Admitedly, that's a but harsh on the geekster
and isn't a particularly good reason for getting rid of him
either.
But our opinion is somewhat irrelevant as we don't
decide who goes, YOU do!
Voting lines are now open and will remain-so until Friday
night. The voting text and telephone numbers are detailed
in another story within our Latest News section.
