Fried Bread. Fried? Bread?

Having started to feel sorry for Siavash because he's fallen-out with best mate Marcus over the former's recent snogging sessions with Noirin, Bea offered to make the flamboyant Iranian some fried bread tonight. However, Siavash didn't have a clue what she was talking about.

In a scene that reminded us of comedian Peter Kay's famous 'garlic bread' routine, a bemused Siavash responded to the offer by saying: "Fried bread? Is that a Scottish thing or something?"

Erm, has the events organiser – who moved to the UK as a child – never heard of a traditional cooked breakfast being served with fried bread? Amazing!

Still, Siavash wasn't the only one who was clueless about what is effectively glorified toast, as posh boy Freddie later fancied some fried bread, but had to ask Bea how to make it.

It ain't rocket science Freddie, you just cover the base of a frying pan with some oil, stick a piece of bread in the pan and FRY it for 2 or 3 minutes. Job done!

Don't try this at home people... it's not especially healthy!
