You Ask Us: Where Was The Hamper?

Fans have been e-mailing us today, angrily suggesting that Big Brother was up to something last night when the entity asked newcomer Hira to take a hamper out-of the Diary Room.

After the dizzy fashion designer had been given details of the newbies' secret task, Big Brother told her that there was a hamper on the floor, and asked her to take it and share it with the other housemates.

Some fans believe that the entity said 'handbook', and some reckon Big Brother was deliberately winding her up, making her look for something that wasn't there. Others have suggested that the production team forgot to put the hamper in the Diary Room, thereby making an embarrassing mistake. Not so.

For the hamper was there all along, to Hira's left as she sat in the chair. It wasn't even disguised; it was your standard, wicker-basket hamper. Indeed, Hira not only knelt by it when Big Bruv told her to leave the Diary Room, she then leant towards it again, dithering over what to do.

So, case closed. Mystery solved. Hira is either a bit dim, or, if we're giving the 25-year-old Pakistani the benefit of the doubt, simply doesn't know what a hamper is or has never heard the word before.

Anyway, the group was later provided with some booze, so they didn't miss out.
