This Week's Eviction Has Been Cancelled
In the early hours of this morning, likely evictee Kenneth
quit
the show, and as a consequence Channel 4 have now confirmed
that the 7th Eviction (or 8th Eviction, depending whether
you deem Beinazir as having been 'rejected' or evicted) has
been cancelled.
Initially, there was talk of the eviction continuing as normal,
because there was another ten contenders that viewers
could vote-for. Okay, so Channel 4 would have had to refund
the money for all the votes made on Ken so far, but now they
have to refund literally ALL the votes made so far, so it's
more hassle for them.
It just doesn't make sense to us, and C4's decision will
just fuel the theory among fans that the broadcaster has contrived
to keep Marcus in the game; the Wolverine lookalike would
almost certainly have been evicted on Friday in lieu of Ken.
Admittedly, Marcus is a big character and he's arguably the
biggest rebel-slash-troublemaker the show has ever seen. However,
fans are now starting to get a bit tired of Big Brother changing
things around this year with punishments, twists or cancellations,
meaning they keep losing the opportunity to get rid-of the
most disliked housemates (such as Lisa, Marcus and Noirin).
Viewers who voted for Ken or any of the other nominees can
claim their 35p back from Channel 4, although those claiming
will be required to send-in a bill proving that they made
the call/s.
