Happy Birthday Dave!

Last night, David was down in the dumps and pining for his mentor Lisa, who got booted out-of the Big Brother House with almost 69% in the six-way public vote, just missing-out on a place in the Final. However, after a good night's sleep he's a bit more perky this morning.

Seeing as it's his 29th Birthday today, Dave's peers were somewhat surprised that Big Bro didn't play him the birthday song, but the entity was equally surprised that they didn't sing it to him.

The all-seeing entity could also have played him Stevie Wonder's 'Happy Birthday', but Sophie probably wouldn't have recognised the legendary Motown artist, given that she thought he'd sung with guitar-based band 'Blur' a couple of weeks ago (he hasn't, she was thinking of the boy band 'Blue').

"I can't believe they didn't play David the happy birthday song," said Soph' prompting Rodrigo to suggest that they should sing it to the dippy Dewsbury lad.

And just as Sophie mentioned getting him a birthday cake, in walked the Birthday Boy himself, so his peers celebrated with a rousing rendition of the traditional Happy Birthday song. They later made him an 'I <heart> VIV' T-shirt, because of his love and obsession for the designer Vivienne Westwood.

If he's anything like a lot of other gay men, this'll be the last birthday Dave celebrates for a long time. 30 next year? No, no, NO...
