Big Brother 10 Launch Reaches Over 5m Viewers
Channel 4 have been keen to point-out today that the series
Launch show last night drew a peak audience of 5.4 million
viewers.
This easily beat the offerings from BBC1, BBC2, ITV1 and
Five in the same time slot, the most successful programme
from the competition being ITV's Taggart, which reached a
peak audience of 3.3 million.
At one point, nearly half of all television viewers aged
16 to 34 were watching Big Brother 10 (43%), so here at BBO
we think it's fair to say that the format is still popular
and it bodes well for the new series, even if the show has
had higher Launch night figures in previous years.
After all, these days there are a huge number of channels
available to more people than ever before.
About the stats, a spokesperson for C4 said: "Last
night's Launch was the second highest audience so far this
year on Channel 4. We are very pleased with the viewing figures".
Keep on watching, BB fans.
