The Big Bro Breakfast Show
The Big Bro breakfast show seems to have gone off the rails
this morning, as the all-seeing entity played the Wurzels'
crummy hit 'Combine Harvester' into the house as its latest
wake-up tune.
Granted, Stu and Shell were happy to bop around to the farming-based
ditty, but Dan, Michelle, Jay and Nadia were seemingly unimpressed.
So, we reckon Big Brother needs to continue playing the more
catchy cheesy 80's numbers, perhaps choosing one to suit each
housemate? Here's a few suggestions:
Dan would warrant something like WHAM!'s 'Wake Me Up Before
You Go Go'. The lead singer's hit, 'Father Figure', would
certainly be apt, but is too slow. Buck Fizz' hit 'Making
Your Mind Up' would be another good 'un though, given that
he keeps threatening to leave.
For Jay, it would have to be Rod Stewart's 'Da Ya Think I'm
Sexy?', or maybe Carly Simon's 'You're So Vain' or even MJ's
'Man In The Mirror'.
Michelle could be woken to the sound of Lionel Richie singing
'Stuck On You?'
For Nadia, we first thought of Aerosmith's 80's hit 'Dude
(Looks Like A Lady)', but that's not particularly catchy or
cheesy and it would be a bit harsh. Erm, so?!
Our choice for Shell would have to be something by Captain
Sensible - 'Happy Talk' would fit the bill nicely.
Lastly Stuart, who always seems to be on his own planet, would
surely revel in hearing The Firm's 'Star Trekkin' first thing
in the morning?
And that's just for starters; there's plenty of catchy 80's
numbers that Big Brother could play, such as Bad Manners'
'The Can Can' or some classic air guitar tunage like Clapton's
'Layla'.
Come on Big Bro, do you take requests?
