Chain Gang Task Result

As Big Bro's last test during the Chain Gang Task, the housemates were asked to compose an original story this afternoon.

Having been provided with a typewriter per pairing, they were instructed that the tale must feature the housemates themselves, and to make things more difficult, each person in the pairing would type every other letter as they went along.

Blimey, Big Bro wants its pound of flesh, eh?

Predictably, Stuart was very enthusiastic, deeming it to be 'wicked', whilst mini-chain gang partner Shell thought it was a 'lovely' idea.

Dan and Jason were less keen though, but cracked on with the test nevertheless. And it's a god job they did, as it led to the group passing this week's task and being set free from their chains!

The group were permitted to have three fails per day during the 3-day task and they gained two on the first day, none on the second day but two again today with the typewriter test.

Still, it meant the shackles were removed tonight from the elated sextet and Big Bro also provided each housemate with a video message from their friends or family.

Here's who appeared on their vids, which will be shown during Thursday night's Channel 4 coverage of the show:

Dan - His brother Christian, plus friends Steph and Ray.
Jason - Jay's best pals Alan and Paul.
Michelle - Her Mum Lorraine, Dad Peter, sister Sarah. Polly the cat also made an appearance!
Nadia - Nadia's friends Billy, Mario and Mark.
Shell - Her Mum Ellie, brother Ross and much-talked-about boyfriend, Scott.
Stuart - Who else but 'Team Handsome', aka Tom, the other Tom and Matt?!

After almost nine weeks apart from the people they truly care about, all six housemates were emotional at seeing the videos, with Shell, Stu and Nadia brought to tears.

The icing on the cake, however, is that the five housemates who survive possible eviction this week will get double their usual shopping budget for the final week. Big Brother has also provided the group with a hamper tonight.

Now that's what you call a result!
