Obstacle Course Rules
The timed obstacle course must be completed with the housemates
carrying a full tray of eggs as a handicap, as well as being
shackled to their partner.
Each 'shackled' pair will have five minutes to complete the
course and have been allowed 30 minutes to practice.
When the test begins, there will be a total 30 eggs on the
tray. After all three pairs of housemates have completed the
obstacle course within the allotted time, there must be at
least one egg left on the tray.
Therefore, the housemates are permitted to lose up to 29 eggs
in negotiating the course.
The housemates must follow the Rules:
STARTING - Each pair must start from a position behind the
start point.
CONES - The pairs must weave around the cones as marked.
If a pair does not follow the course as shown in the diagram,
they must go back and start the cones section again.
HURDLES - The pairs must step over all the hurdles in this
section. If any hurdle is knocked over, the pair must pick
up the hurdle and attempt it again, until it has been cleared.
BALANCE BEAM - The pairs must step onto the balance beam
and walk across its length from the point marked with red
tape at one end, to the point marked with blue tape at the
other end. If a pair falls off the beam between these two
points, then they must do it again.
CROSS BAR - The pairs must duck under the cross bar without
knocking it off. If the cross bar is knocked off, that pair
must replace it and attempt the limbo again.
HURDLES - As above.
CONES - As above.
FINISHING POINT- The pairs must pass the finishing point.
All housemates must wear their full safety equipment when
practicing the course, comprising of knee pads, elbow pads
and a safety helmet.
Housemates will find out whether they have passed or failed
this week's task when the whole task ends on Wednesday.
