Jade Participates In 'Celebrity Wife Swap'
Earplugs at the ready, as BB3's resident motormouth Jade Goody
is set to return to our screens in a 'celebrity' episode of
Channel's 4's popular reality show Wife Swap.
For this special show, confirmed 'chipstick' Jade and her
boyfriend Jeff will swap places with posh nob Major Charles
Ingram and his, erm, ever-so-slightly-weird wife Diana.
As if you didn't know already, Ingram's the bloke who tried
to dupe Chris Tarrant out of a £Million 'quid with his
simple, ambitious, but ultimately flawed 'coughing' scam.
And, having been convicted of the WWTBAM fraud earlier this
year, the 39-year-old is currently awaiting sentencing for
trying to rip off his insurance company to the tune of £30k.
Aww, too bad.
Regular fans of the show will know the format by now: wife
from pseudo-posh family swaps places and goes to live with
a more 'working class' family, and vice versa.
Inevitably, the swapped wife/ husband strongly disagrees with
the other family's house rules and sets about changing them
in the latter half of the show, usually resulting in verbal
fireworks!
By going in for this, it rather looks like the Ingrams are
trying to follow in the footsteps of the Hamiltons, who've
been through a scandal or two themselves and surfaced as traditional
British underdogs.
Frankly though, the latest Media newbies don't posses any
of the vulnerability and quaint charm that might compel you
to watch the antics of feisty battleaxe Christine and docile
hubby Neil.
About her time spent living with the Major, Jade said, "At
first I didn't like him, he was very irritating. He never
did anything to help me, but after about four days we had
a run-in and that sort of cleared the air".
He said about Jade, "She's not someone who's afraid to
speak up and she lets you have it with both barrels".
That said, the pair definitely seem to have gained a respect
for one another by the end of the show.
But, it remains to be seen whether old cheatin' Charlie will
have Jade marching to his orders by the end of the programme,
or whether the outspoken and volatile ex-council house girl
will throw a trademark wobbler and tell him to 'koff?!
Tune-in to Channel 4 on Tuesday the 11th November, to find
out.
