8th Nominations (Day 50)                                                                                           <<

The 8th Nominations were technically the 7th, or even the 6th if you take into account that there was no nominating done per-se on the first week. With just five housemates remaining and a divide between the group emerging, some of the nominations were entirely predictable. Here's 'who nominated who' and why, on what was the final Nominations of this series.

Alex
Alex nominated Jade and Jonny. He nominated Jade because, "She's saying things about people behind their backs" and his nomination for Jonny harked-back to the 'weegate' scandal near the beginning of the series!

Jade
Jade's first nominee was Tim. Her reasoning was because, "I don't have anything in common with him and sometimes when I speak to him, I feel that he's not interested in what I've got to say." She went-on to say how she would rather spend time with people who want to hear what she has to say. Yeh, but there's a limit Jade! She went for Alex next, clarifying her nomination with, "Alex tends to snap at me quite a bit and I'd rather not be left in the house with somebody that's 'gonna snap at me constantly." She then declared how she just wants to have fun and said that Alex needs to loosen-up a bit.

Jonny
Looking subdued, Jonny declared how he was struggling as he didn't have, "Any issues with anybody." We know that he's a genuine guy, but come on?! His first choice was, nevertheless, Tim. "I know Tim's had a hard week last week (on his own) but he's been quite dull really... at the end of the day, it's what you make it in here," was his reason for the nomination. His second nominee was Alex and Jonny explained how, "He can be uptight" and then told how the model got a bit arsey over forcing Tim to take the telephone call on Saturday night..

Kate
Kate's first nominee was Tim. "After Saturday night when he had the phone call, he made a point of saying that he set himself a target to come into the Big Brother house and once he's in here, he didn't care how long he stayed." She felt that Jade, Alex and Jonny would rather stay to the end. About her second nominee Alex, she said, "He needs to lighten-up a bit and he takes things too seriously in here. I feel that Alex is the person I can least relate to out of the other three."

Tim
By the time Tim came to make his nominations, they would have no effect on the outcome. Jade was Tim's first nomination because, "No-one really knows what she thinks of them and to a certain extent, I don't either... I don't know if she's playing a sort of game... but it doesn't seem very fair on everyone." For his second choice, Tim went for Jonny. "I really like Jonny as a person when he's being himself," said Tim, continuing with, "but unfortunately he spends far too much time putting on this act and that's a real shame."

So, the tally at the final round was:

Alex and Tim: 3, Jade and Jonny: 2, Kate: 0


So, it's Alex and Tim up for eviction in this penultimate week of the show, with it looking very likely that the latter will be taking the 'walk of shame' this Friday. Expect him to get a boo-ming welcome from the crowds!
