5th Nominations (Day 32) <<
By the 5th nominations there were just eight contestants remaining,
as six had already left the house. This was the first week that
Tim could be nominated. Here's who nominated who and why:
Adele
Adele's first nominee was Jonny. Here reasoning was similar to that
given in the 3rd nominations: "I believe that he performs to
the cameras 24 hours a day... he's too conscious of what the public
think." She felt that he was a false person and therefore wanted
him out of the house. She went for PJ with her second nomination,
stating, "I believe him to be a very tactical player."
She cited how PJ often asks people for their opinions on other housemates,
but doesn't disclose his own feelings.
Alex
Alex's first nomination was for Jonny and the reasoning harped back
to the early weeks of the series. "I remember in the first
couple of weeks, we did have our differences," he said, giving
the example of the 'peeing in the shower' furore. Alex then claimed
that there are other people he'd rather be living with. His second
choice was Kate, because she had put metal objects in the microwave.
Also, after the task, Kate had apparently gone around saying that
Alex apologised to everyone else but her, for not taking them over
to the rich side. He refuted this.
Jade
Jade's first nominee was Sophie. Pulling the most ridiculous faces,
Jade said, "I think she's false... I just find her really irritating.
She went for Jonny next, clarifying her nomination with, "I
don't think he's actually been himself all the way through."
She then stated how she thought he was doing things to impress the
outside and world and Jade's reasoning was suspiciously close to
Adele's.
Jonny
Continuing the weekly theme, Jonny's first choice Alex. His reason
for the nomination was because,"I thought it was a bit thoughtless
and selfish of him on Saturday night to leave Kate on the poor side
(after the task)." Jonny's second nominee was Tim. Jonny clarified
his choice with, "The only reason is because he's only been
here for a week... I know him least... I'm not 'gonna nominate one
of 'me other housemates who I've known for four weeks now and make
a reason up for it."
Kate
As in previous weeks, Kate's first nominee was Alex. "After
Saturday night's task I tried to talk to him about his reasons for
picking Jade over me and he just walked off," said Kate. About
her second nominee Jade, she said, "She's sometimes a little
unfair to some member of the group, particularly Sophie."
PJ
Sophie was PJ's first nominee, for the reasons that, "She always
butts in... has always done something a little bit better or quirkier,
it's doin' my head in." Then, seemingly the first person to
suss-out Adele, PJ nominated her, stating, "I wouldn't say
she's two-faced, but the impression she gives others in the living
room is completely different to the impression she (actually) has
when she's alone or in smaller groups." He then described Adele
as conniving, pretentious and false.
Sophie
Sophie's first choice this week was Jade. Her reasoning was similar
to last week: "I just think the longer we stay together, I
think me and Jade will end up having an argument... there is quite
a bit of friction between us, I don't know why." Her second
nominee was Tim. "I know he's only been here a week-and-a-half
but he's just not being friendly really," said Sophie.
Tim
Sophie was Tim's first nomination for a number of reasons: "She's
the only girl that irritates me... she only has three words in her
vocabulary, which are: Lee, the F-word and mate." Apparently
deliberating over his second choice, Tim went for Jonny. Although
he tried to make-out that the nomination was because Jonny was having
sleeping problems and there was an age difference (so?), it was
probably more likely that he nominated Jonny becuase he was picked
to go over to the poor side by the Geordie.
So, the tally at the fifth round was:
Jonny: 4, Sophie: 3, Alex, Jade and Tim: 2, Adele, Kate and PJ:
1
Adele's nomination-free run has come to an end and every housemate
has now been nominated at one point or another. Sophie didn't do
as bad as we thought she might this week, however it is almost a
foregone conclusion that she'll be evicted from the house this Friday
night.
