4th Nominations (Day 25) <<
By the 4th nominations, five contestants had already left the house:
Sunita, Lynne, Alison, Sandy and Lee. Sunita and Sandy left of their
own accord and had been replaced by Sophie and Tim respectively.
Tim had amnesty this week, meaning that he could neither nominate,
nor be nominated. Jade was banned from nominating this week for
talking about the nominations on Day 21, although she hadn't told
anyone but Adele. Here's who nominated who and why:
Adele
Adele's first nominee was PJ. This was because, after spending time
with him on the poor side of the house, she had found him to be
lazy and quite selfish. She also explained how, "I thought
that the way he handled not being taken over the to the rich side
was very bad," and stated that she didn't want to spend more
time in the house with 'someone like that.' Her second choice was
Spencer. Again, her reasoning was connected to the house divide
and she felt that they had all suffered, but that Spencer had reacted
badly and been quiet. "I find it quite shallow that he can't
be his normal self with alcohol or cigarettes," she added.
Alex
Spencer was Alex's first choice. This was a respect thing, because
when he was on the poor side, Adele had spent an hour-and-a-half
cooking some food and Spencer just picked at it then said it was
disgusting. Alex's second choice was, not surprisingly, PJ. This
was because when Alex had to make 'a difficult choice' regards who
to take over to the rich side on Saturday night, PJ challenged him
and, "Showed a different, negative side to his personality."
Jade
Jade was banned from nominating this week, however she could
be nominated herself.
Jonny
Jonny's first choice was Alex, because, "When I was nominated
last week, he grinned (and was) over the moon." For his second
nomination, Jonny seemed to be continuing the 'grudge' theme in
his choice of Spencer. His reasoning was due to the fact that Spencer
had accused him of cheating in the basketball task that let to the
rich/poor divide. "I did not cheat," said the Geordie.
Kate
Kate went for Alex again as her first nominee. "I feel that
the decision he made on Saturday night was particularly unfair to
some people," she said, referring to Spencer and PJ. Her second
nomination was for Jade. Clarifying her decision, she said, "The
reason I'm picking Jade is not because I don't like her, but sometimes
I feel like I can't trust her... like she's two-faced."
PJ
In a touché to Alex's second nomination, PJ nominated Alex
over the same reason: "It was his decision on Saturday night
after the task." PJ's second choice was Sophie, because, "She's
the Miss Goodie Two Shoes of the group... I find her very annoying."
PJ informed Big Brother that Jade had been missed-out, prompting
it to inform him of the reason why. PJ then told the rest of the
group when he went back outside.
Sophie
Sophie's first choice was Spencer. "I find him... sometimes
he can become quite lazy," she said, justifying her nomination.
Her second nominee was Jade, because, "If I spent much more
time with her, I think we would end-up falling out."
Spencer
Spencer's first nominee was Sophie. "Things that annoy me about
her, are her continuos motivation talks from the other side (of
the divide) with a glass of wine in her hand and a roast dinner."
His second nomination was for Alex, not for his choice of housemates
following the dart task, but because, "I'd have more respect
if he hadn't bothered giving reasons (i.e afterwards, to PJ and
Spence)".
So, the tally at the fourth round was:
Alex and Spencer: 4, Jade, PJ and Sophie: 2, Adele, Jonny and Kate:
0
Once again, some of the nominations were predictable, due to the
tension that the divide has created. So, Alex and Spencer go head
to head, which is going to be a tough choice for the fans. Here
at BBO, we shall have to reflect on what each housemate has brought
to the house since the beginning before we make our choice, but
that already errs towards keeping Alex frankly. FYI, Adele is the
only housemate not to have been nominated so far.
