3rd Nominations (Day 18) <<
By the 3rd nominations, Sunita, Lynne and Alison had already left
the Big Brother house. With ten contestants remaining (four girls
and six boys), this was the first week that Sophie could be nominated.
None of the paupers voted for their own this week. Here's who nominated
who and why:
Adele
Adele's first nominee was Jonny. Here reasoning was: "I believe
that he's too aware, for my liking, that we're on camera...he's
still putting on an act." She went for Lee with her second
nomination, stating that he had begun, "acting childish"
and was unable to control his emotions. This unsettled the former
confidante.
Alex
Alex's first nomination was for Jonny again. He was nominating the
Geordie this time for winding him up. After the richies had been
allowed to view the boxing match, Jonny claimed that they had seen
videos about the contestants afterwards. It was a joke that Alex
didn't find funny. His second choice was Lee because, "He's
been gloating a little bit (about being on the rich side)"
and because he had taken the mick our of Alex's toilet problems.
Jade
Bounding into the diary room, Jade settled into the chair to reveal
her first nominee, Lee. She clarified the nomination by saying,
"I find him very sly, very rude and obnoxious. I don't like
him, I find him fake." She went for Sophie next, stating, "I
think she's playing a game, also I find her very sly. She comes
across as a backstabber...and a liar."
Jonny
Jonny's first choice was Sandy for the second time. "I think
it would be nice if everybody could open up and be honest with each
other. I don't think Sandy's doing that," said the Geordie
contestant. He was reluctant to name his second nominee, Alex. "Whilst
Alex is in here, there's always a chance of a rift or a row,"
he said, clarifying his decision.
Kate
Kate went for Alex as her first nominee again, saying, "He
hasn't really made the effort with me...I don't really think I'd
notice if he wasn't here." About her second nominee Sandy,
she said, "There's being honest and there's being really, really
honest. Sometimes I think he can be a bit too honest."
Lee
Jade was the house muscleman's first nominee. "She can be quite
annoying at times...you can't get a word in," was his justification.
His second nomination was Jonny, although he conceded that it was
'a tough one.' About his fellow richie, he said, "Basically,
when we're together, nothing will be said...I don't dislike him,
but we're not interested in each other."
PJ
Lee was PJ's first nominee. "He's becoming so lethargic and
he's dragging me down now...I find it increasingly difficult to
speak to him," was his reasoning. PJ's second choice was Sophie
and his reasoning was an elaborated version of, "Whenever she
speaks, it's about her."
Sandy
Sandy went for Jonny again as his first nominee, stating that his
reasons hadn't changed from last week: "I find his humour not
funny." His second choice was Kate and his reasoning was because,
"I feel that she is shallow in that she also likes to seek
attention." The Scot accused her of using the men to get in
with them and crying too much.
Sophie
Sophie's first choice was Alex. "I talk with him, but I find
him quite boring," she said. Akin with Kate, she stated that
she wouldn't miss him if he wasn't there. Her second nomination
went against Sandy because he had been keeping his distance and,
"Didn't want to be here." That latter reason was reminiscent
of previous series' extremely lame and predictable reasons and should
have earned a 'strike' immediately.
Spencer
Jonny was Spence's first nominee and the reason was, "Because
he tends to make more of a meal out of things than necessary...next
minute he's happy." For his second nomination, Spencer stated
that it had been a difficult decision, but went for Lee. This was
because he was always quiet in Spencer's presence and he had, "Probably
shared better times with everybody else than with Lee."
So, the tally at the third round was:
Jonny and Lee: 5, Alex and Sandy: 3, Sophie: 2, Jade and Kate: 1
Regardless of his threats to walk, it is almost a foregone conclusion
that Lee will be evicted from the house this Friday night.
