2nd Nominations (Day 11)                                                                                           <<

The 2nd nominations were really the first ones 'proper,' as this time things reverted back to normal: the housemates would nominate and the public would vote someone out. Sophie had joined the house by day 11, but she had amnesty and could be neither be nominated nor make nominations this time around. Here's who nominated who and why:

Adele
Adele's first nominee was Alison. "I feel that she actually doesn't like me; she's putting on a front," was her explanation. Her second choice was Kate because, "She got jealous of my relationship with Jade, then got pally with Alison." Adele felt that Kate would be voting for her.

Alex
Obviously still fuming at the 'weegate' scandal, Alex's first nomination was for Jonny because, "He openly said that he urinated in the shower and I think it's disgusting." His second nominee was Alison for the exact same reason.

Alison
Hygiene-freak Alex was Ali's first choice, justified by saying, "I don't like some of his ways. One, I don't like the way he eats the food when we're cooking; I also don't like the way he uses the tea towel to wipe his hands after he's washed them." She went for Sandy next, stating, "I didn't like the way he stormed off last night when we couldn't decide whether to have an Indian or Chinese (meal). She also wasn't happy with the way he isolated himself from the group.

Jade
Talking 'ten to the dozen,' Jade's first nomination was for Jonny, because, "He pi**ed me off a lot yesterday. He's playing with people's minds, putting me across as a liar." She then nominated Alex because, "I don't know where I stand with him. He uses people."

Jonny
Jonny's first choice was Sandy, because, "I think he's distanced himself and I don't think he brings much to the group." He nominated Alex next, stating, "I don't think he can compromise with people."

Kate
Kate went for Alex as her first nominee. "(He's) the only housemate that's actually upset me; he hasn't made any effort to speak to me," she said, adding, "I'm not getting on well with him." Her second nomination was for Sandy, justified by saying, "I feel that everybody's making the biggest effort they can, but I feel like Sandy's not making that effort at all."

Lee
"I do like her, she's a nice girl," was Lee's introduction to his reason for nominating Jade, which was because, "At times she stirs up trouble." His second choice was Kate, because, "She only talks to me when she wants to." "I find that quite annoying," added Lee.

PJ
Alex was PJ's first nominee. "Fair enough if he's a hygienist, but he tells us what to do with regards everything... at the moment, he's just a woman and he's getting to me," was his frank reasoning. PJ's second choice was Sandy. Again he gave an elaborate reason, which was, "His conversations are generally very interesting, but they're few and far between. He's constantly segregating himself from the group and lacks enthusiasm."

Sandy
Scot Sandy's first choice was Jonny, because, "I find his toilet humour is beginning to get a bit tedious." He then went for Alison, saying, "You can be sitting quietly and she comes over singing and jumping around." He elaborated by saying that Alison's singing of the same songs for the past week had become quite tedious.

Spencer
Spencer's first nominee was Alex. "His continuous whingeing gets on my nerves, I just want to relax, " said a frank Spencer before adding, "He seems to be not particularly interested in solving conflict, more interested in making them." His second nomination was for Alison. Spencer detailed how it had been a hard decision and how he liked Ali, but conceded that she was, "The only one that from time to time annoys me." He also cheekily hinted that he had eyes on her double bed!

So, the tally at the second round was:

Alex: 6, Alison and Sandy: 4, Jonny: 3, Kate: 2, Jade: 1, Adele, Lee, PJ, Spencer: 0

Some of those nominations were entirely predictable, given the recent tension in the house. Since the nominations however, things have been patched-up to a certain extent between some of the housemates. We'd like to keep Alex in for the moment, so, as Ali's done nothing to offend us this week, it really has to be Sandy packing his bags this Friday (but it'll probably be Alex).
