What The Papers Say

The red-top tabloids are mostly backing Jade to Win now.

The Sun had this to say today: "Our readers are overwhelmingly in favour of Jade winning. Previously, people have voted for who they like, but during BB3 they've been voting for the contestants that have entertained them."

The paper's final word on the subject was, "Due to our poll, Jade has to be in with a chance of winning and so we're backing her."

Rather amusingly, the Daily Mirror has taken a negative stance towards the show this year, declaring itself the 'Official Anti-Big Brother newspaper!' Even so, although they don't actually care who scoops the £70k, they would rather it be Jade if forced to pick someone.

Their 'jaded' correspondent said, "I'd prefer Jade to win 'cos they've treated her like an idiot. Kate is a bit of a moron and Jonny's a total fool. Alex is actually quite funny, so if Jade didn't win, I'd like it to be Alex." The Mirror thought that at least Jade had provided the fans with something to watch, whilst the other three contenders had done relatively little really.

The Daily Star are remaining neutral and concede that picking a winner is difficult this year. However, having written Jade off last week over her and Alex's 'chasm of a mouth' argument, the paper's main Big Brother correspondent would like Alex to win.

About all the contenders chances, he said, "Some would argue that Kate has used her sexuality to get to the 'final four' and although Jonny seems like a nice guy, perhaps he hasn't contributed enough to win?"

"Jade has provided the viewers with an emotional rollercoaster, but that could ultimately be her downfall. Alex has been a constant throughout the 9 weeks."

So, one paper is rooting for Jade, one wouldn't mind if she won and the other is kind-of batting for Alex.

Here at Big Brother Online, we're sitting on the fence at the moment as, like The Daily Star, we're totally undecided as-to who we'd like to win. Unlike last year, when Brian was streets-ahead by around week 5 or 6, there is no clear-cut winner deserved of the cash at this stage of the game; which is great.

Like many of you, our vote will be placed on Friday.
