Alex's Poorly Poultry Pal

It's not even 7am and Alex is up-and-about, fussing over the chickens.

The hygiene-obsessed model, who has gained an affinity for the chickens over the past eight weeks, couldn't sleep last night for worrying over the health of Big Red.

The famous cock has been ill of late, so Alex knelt down and encouraged his fowl friend to feed. "Eat something Big Red!" he urged.

And it seems that the advice was heeded, as Big Red pecked at some hay Alex had scattered across the ground.

The Big Brother vet has taken one of the poorly chicken's feathers away for testing. Alex eagerly awaits the outcome.

BB1's Darren was never this attached to Marjorie, was he?
