The Final Weekly Task - The Result

The final weekly live task has been completed tonight and has successfully earned the group a huge £400 shopping budget between the four of them.

They had already anticipated an obstacle course this time and were amused to find that they were correct when Big Bro unveiled the task.

It was a two-parter, the first being a blindfolded mini-obstacle course where they had to go through a plastic tunnel and retrieve as many eggs as possible from the other side of the garden. The eggs had to be placed firmly in egg-cups, with the whole thing relying on the verbalised directions of the other housemates.

Taking turns, Jonny was up first and was followed by Alex, Kate and Jade, with everyone managing to do two laps in the allotted time. They managed to collect nine eggs out-of a total of ten, which earned them £250.

Moving to the lounge, the second part of task involved watching a video of four ex-housemates in an egg-and-spoon race and betting on who they thought was likely to win. The contenders were Spencer, PJ, Sophie and, ranked as the outsider, muscleman Lee.

After some discussion, they felt that the lads would start pushing each other and therefore they plumped for Sophie, with a £50 bet on her to win at odds of 3/1.

Lee was first to lose his egg and booted it across the tarmac. Spencer's fell off his spoon a couple of times, but he managed to recover and it was almost a photo-finish between Spanky and PJ as they crossed the line simultaneously.

But wait a minute, their eggs weren't actually on their spoons as they crossed the line!

Yay, Sophie had won by default, proving to have-been a good bet and consequently increasing the group's shopping budget from £250 to £400.

Having passed the task, the group also received a hamper full of booze and goodies to keep them going until the shopping gets delivered on Monday.
