In The Gravy

Kate and Jonny have been preparing an evening meal tonight, but things didn't go quite to plan.

Jonny made some gravy from chicken carcasses and it was all going well, until he decided to check-up on his concoction.

A thick layer of grease had formed on the top of the gravy and Kate looked horrified when Jonny dipped-in a spoon and pulled out a layer of skin. Mmmm... tasty!

"It's just skin," he assured the Kent girl after she suggested that he was trying to kill everyone. But Kate had a plan to save her own bacon: "It looks a bit minging whatever it is. Put it on Jade's plate!", she cheekily suggested.

However, they still had the problem of how to get rid of the remaining driblets of oil.

After scratching their heads and unsuccessfully trying a slice of bread to soak-up the grease, Jade arrived to save the day with a plan to use cling film and skim-off the extraneous muck.

But that plan also proved unsuccessful, prompting Kate to suggest that they, "Chuck it (away)."

"Nah way, man!" retaliated the failed Geordie chef, "This is chicken gravy!"

Suffice to say that although the group enjoyed the meal, take-up on the offer of gravy was, not surprisingly, slow!
