Alex's 'Ribbiting' Find

Tonight, Alex has made a 'ribbiting' find in the garden, a tiny little frog.

The thorough Essex boy was cleaning-up the garden when he came across his new amphibious friend near the pool.

"I found a little frog!" he called out, and as he brought the tiny creature indoors, Jonny rustled-up a mini-pond out-of a plastic bowl.

"He's tiny. Look, Kate!" said Alex in a wavering tone, possibly overcome with emotion at the 'cuteness factor' of his find.

An excited Jonny then asked, "It's a stupid question, but what do frogs eat?"

"Insects," answered Tim, before stating how there was special frog food they could ask Big Bro for.

Then PJ joined-in, stating, "That's the smallest frog I've ever seen in my entire life," before tactlessly recalling how a friend once threw a dead frog onto a barbecue.

And, not content with just the one insect-eating pal, 'friend to the frogs' Alex decided to go search for another... and he found one, along with an earwig!

Naming the pair, Jade called-out her suggestion of, "Ribbet and Scribbet!", as the housemates' new pets dined on earwig.

However, sadly their pet ownership was short-lived, as the amphibious pair had to be handed-over to Big Brother to be set back into their natural habitat. The RSPCA had spoken.

We're not sure if Alex shed a tear at the departure of his slimy pals, but we'll let you know how he bears up.
