Perfecting His Puppets

Alex stayed-up late last night, in a complete turn-around of his usual
sleeping pattern.

Normally one to disappear off to bed by about 11pm and rise again at 8'ish,
he got up at 3am to continue work on his two puppets.

The hours flew-by as he sat and cut the cloth for his miniature Sandy doll's
clothes, being joined by insomnia-suffering Jonny at well past 5am.

"I'm pissed off," said the Geordie fireman, adding, "I can't sleep again."

After reciting some of the lines he'd practiced for his puppet of Tim, Jonny
soon made back to bed, leaving Alex alone to sew-away, with protective
thimble firmly on finger.

The male model sat and soldiered-on for another few hours, occasionally
muttering to himself about Jonny, referring to him as a 'prick' at one
point.

The Essex boy also attempted his take on Sandy's Scots accent, but ended-up
sounding decidedly Irish!

By 7am, 'Sandy's' kilt and jumper had been finished, but the pernickety
model wasn't happy. "Oh his legs are f*****g wonky!" whinged Alex, annoyed
that his considerable efforts weren't spot-on.

Having chatted to his papier-mâché pals for long enough, he crept back to
bed after a 5-hour absence, to catch-up on his well-earned beauty sleep.
